I quite agree with you.
Some of the "so called" long forms are nothing but meaningless rantings and fluffy repetitions.
Short forms is not for lazy writers, it is for those who can deliver the message precisely without unnecessary colouration.
It is not meant for making fast bucks but allows writers with very limited time to still be able to make contributions.
Besides, it helps to keep the writing juice flowing.
You may not like it but hey that's life.
Short forms have saved me a lot of headaches. I don't have to struggle on my days off to sit down for hours to write.
I can testify that things are getting better, not in terms of money but the satisfaction that I'm constantly practicing my trade.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions and choice but don't trivialize what we love.
